Bugs and what to do...

Survival is the key word and only food and plants than need to be used for survival will be touched by the adventurers. The challenge involves going back to nature and to the basics when man and nature co-existed in peace and balance. The project will in fact entail cleaning up the island, which although uninhabited, still suffers from litter carried by ocean currents from other shores and from ships on the sea.

Bugs and what to do...

Well, with our little adventure being less than 3 weeks away the reality of what we're going to be dealing with is starting to set in. One of the most annoying things we will probably have to deal with are insects, hands down.
So what should we do?
- we have all talked about bringing mosquito netting
- we have talked about the standard bugspray, i.e. DEET
- we have talked about turning them into dinner, hahaha!!!
But seriously, they are going to be a nuisance, so if anybody has some great insect repellant ideas, techniques or products, let's hear it.

One that Matt recently found is:
A bug patch not unlike a nicotine patch. Contains Vitamin B1 and
Aloe and lasts 36 hours. Supposedly works with your
body chemistry to make you undesirable to insects.
Check it out at http://www.bugpatch.net/the%20patch.htm

The more stuff that we use that is natural the better it is and less harmful to us and our environment.
Would love to hear your ideas.
