What to take to the island
A five litre dry-bag cannot carry much. Essentials such as a good knife, fishing line, a cooking pot and tooth brushes will be taken along, but there are a vast array of items that the participants will want to fit in with no luck. Which items will take priority over others? A few items can make all the difference in the fight for survival.

Survival Mentality
It's easy to see how physically fit we are but very difficult to know how mentally fit we are. In fact, most of us don't know how we will react to certain situations until we are in them. Although there may be great physical efforts, survival is above all a mental exercise. What do you hold on to when you are sleep deprived, hungry, sunburnt, sick, uncomfortable and irritated all at the same time? What pushes you through? What in you, gives you the will to survive?

Dangers
Life 2 The Limit might sound like paradise island, but in fact, there is nothing further from the truth. Aside from the obvious challenges of food, water, sun exposure, lack of sleep and group dynamics, there are some real dangers facing the 10 brave adventurers such as poisonous plants and animals, both on the island and the sea.

Survival & Water
Man can live without water for 3 days, but most of us have never experienced thirst for longer than a few hours. Yet, nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink. We are spoilt with fresh water at the turn of a tap.

Survival & Food
Man can live without food for 30 days, but most of us have never experienced hunger, even for a day. Society is plagued by food on every corner - processed, refined, unhealthy and not environmentally-friendly most of the time. When last did man have to hunt or gather his food to survive?

Environment
Survival is the key word and only food and plants than need to be used for survival will be touched by the adventurers. The challenge involves going back to nature and to the basics when man and nature co-existed in peace and balance. The project will in fact entail cleaning up the island, which although uninhabited, still suffers from litter carried by ocean currents from other shores and from ships on the sea.
